Life imitates Art at Aircraft Interiors
Curtain up for Farnborough 2010
On the eve of the
2010 Farnborough
International Airshow
there is great anticipation that the event will mark the consolidation of a period of growth for the global aerospace industry. Early indicators such as the order announcements at ILA, Berlin, in June point to a possible series of order announcements at Farnborough.
The aerospace media have pulled out all the stops to ensure that visitors, and non visitors, to Farnborough will not miss a single thing. For the 2010 show there are more online channels, news updates, blogs and web TV channels than ever before. Similarly there are more Show Dailies than at previous Farnborough Airshows with International Aerospace entering the fray by publishing a Show Daily at Farnborough for the first time. As with Flight International, Aviation International News and Aviation Week, International Aerospace will be publishing a daily for the trade days of the exhibition.

New look to Aviation Week
Starting with the June 28th issue
Aviation Week will have a new
look. The aim is to give the
publication a “more
comtemporary look and feel”.
As part of the new look Aviation Week will feature three new columns; Inside Track, Leading Edge and Airline Intel. Flightglobal.com wins Online Publisher Award - Flightglobal.com
was the winner of an
Association of Online
Publishers Award at the ninth Digital Publishing Awards. The Awards took place on 10th June in London and Flightglobal was the winner of the Best Business Website category, in total there were 17 categories.

UKIP Media & Events announces launch of Airline Catering International
UKIP Media & Events has
announced that it is launching
a brand new publication in
September – Airline Catering
International. The publication
is set to be an annual review
of inflight catering and galley equipment and will include detailed features on the latest trends and innovations in that sector. Airline Catering International will initially be distributed alongside Aicraft Interiors International magazine.

TNT Productions launches Gulf Defence & Aerospace 2011
TNT Productions, the
organisers of the
Black Sea Defence
& Aerospace exhibition, have launched Gulf Defene & Aerospace 2011, an international tri-service defense exhibition and conference dedicated to the defence, aerospace homeland security and safety & security sectors. The event is to be held in the exhibition grounds of the Kuwait International Fair and will be the first international defense exhibition since the Gulf War to be held under the official patronage of His Excellency Sheikh/Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah – First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Kuwait.

CTT Systems delivers top class service in Hamburg
At the recent Aircraft Interiors exhibition in Hamburg, CTT Systems brought a bit of style and a great deal of good humour to the show. The company was celebrating the fact that their CAIR System has been installed in the First Class cabin of Lufthansa's new Airbus A380, which was being delivered to Lufthansa during the week of the Aircraft Interiors show. The system will offer a higher cabin humidity of around 25% relative humidity adding to the comfort and well being of the passengers.
To mark the occasion Lufthansa ran a full page story in their inflight magazine. The article featured an image of CTT's CAIR System brochure being delivered on a silver platter. In a classic example of life imitating art the team from CTT Systems, Ulf Liljenberg, Peter Landquist and Mike Savage donned white gloves, dinner suits and bow ties to mirror the image in the magazine, and become the best dressed team at Aircraft Interiors. To complete the picture when the lids were lifted from the silver platters it was revealed that they contained the CTT's CAIR Systems brochure, just like in the article. As you can see from the photos (above - Peter Landquist, Mike Savage and Ulf Liljenberg) much amusement followed!!!
