CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE AEROSPACE MEDIA AWARDS - 8th Feb 2012

The Call For Nominations has gone out for the Aerospace Media Awards (AMAs). A series of seven Awards will presented during the Aerospace Media Dinner on the evening of 8th July at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.
The Aerospace Media Awards have been created to honour individuals and/or Publishers who have made a significant contribution to aerospace publishing. Nominations are completely open and can come from individuals or organisations. All nominations need to be in by 4th May 2012.

commentator Steve Forbes,

Gala Dinner. This is being held

won the Best Advertising Award presented by Flightglobal's Webbies Awards. The Webbies recognise the best and brightest aviation websites and the integration of social media. DATES ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2013 DUBAI AIRSHOW - 2nd Feb 2012
F&E Aerospace has
confirmed that the 2013
Dubai Airshow will be held
on 17 to 21 November
2013 at Dubai World
Central, this will be the
13th edition of the biennial event. The 2011 Dubai AIrshow saw 960 exhibitors from 50 countries up by 8% on 2009 and 56,548 visitors which was an increase of 7%.
Alison Weller, Managing Director of F&E Aerospace, said: “The Dubai Airshow has enjoyed exponential growth since its launch in 1989 and the last show in 2011 proved to be the best in our 22 year history. We are already planning our move to Dubai World Central in 2013 and look forward to growing the show at a venue that will be double the size of Airport Expo.”

DUBAI AIRPORT EXPO CLOSES, ALL FUTURE EVENTS TO BE HELD AT DUBAI WORLD CENTRAL
- 31st Jan 2012 The Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) and the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul
Middle East (MRO ME) shows taking place
from 31 January to 2 February will be the very last event to be held at the Dubai Airport Expo. It is only fitting organisers F&E Aerospace will be the "first in and the last out" of the venue.

THE DUBAI AIRSHOW CLOSES WITH ORDERS OF US$63 BILLION - 22nd Nov 2011
The 2011 Dubai Airshow ended on 17th November after a successful week which saw US$63.3 billion worth of order announcements for aircraft, maintenance services and flight training programmes. Visitor numbers broke the Dubai Airshow record with 56,548 people attending.
