SINGAPORE AIRSHOW 2012 RECORD VALUE OF DEALS ANNOUNCED AT THE SHOW - 18th Feb 2012
The Singapore Airshow 2012, Asia’s largest aerospace exhibition, wrapped up the trade segment of the six-day event with a record value of deals announced worth over US$31 billion. Major announcements include contracts for Boeing, Airbus, Pratt & Whitney, CFM and ATR. This represents a threefold increase over the total value of deals announced in 2010 and reaffirms Singapore Airshow’s position as a must-attend event in the global aerospace and defence industry calendar. Over four trade days, Singapore Airshow 2012 played host to some 900 exhibitors from 50 countries and 266 delegations from 80 countries who flew into Singapore to network, establish partnerships and forge new deals.

ATR's ADVERTISING CAMAPIGN WINS SILVER AT THE AIR TRANSPORT WORLD AD AWARDS - 14th Feb 2012 - ATR's "Propelling tomorrow's world" global advertising campaign, has been honored with the Silver Award at the Airframes category of the Air Transport World's Annual Ad Awards, held today in Singapore. Launched in 2010, this global ATR advertising campaign was developed with France-based Nouveau Monde DDB Toulouse, an affiliate brand of world's famous advertising agency DDB. It was declined into five different artworks, underlining ATR aircraft as the right combination of most advanced technologies and highest levels of comfort, fuel-efficiency, flexibility and environmental friendliness. As the core message of the campaign, the combination of all these advantages particularly enables ATR to be in an optimal position to propel the world of tomorrow.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE AEROSPACE MEDIA AWARDS - 8th Feb 2012
The Call For Nominations has gone out for the Aerospace Media Awards (AMAs). A series of seven Awards will presented during the Aerospace Media Dinner on the evening of 8th July at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.
The Aerospace Media Awards have been created to honour individuals and/or Publishers who have made a significant contribution to aerospace publishing. Nominations are completely open and can come from individuals or organisations. All nominations need to be in by 4th May 2012.

won the Best Advertising Award presented by Flightglobal's Webbies Awards. The Webbies recognise the best and brightest aviation websites and the integration of social media. Now in their fourth year the Webbies consist of five categories; Best Advertising Campaign, Best Mobile App, Best Blog, Best Use Of Social Media and Website Of The Year.

Patsalides as Director of
Marketing, a new position for

company. Andy joins the
Gama Group leadership team
at a time of significant growth,
which will see the company expand its territory in the Middle East as well as moving into Asia in 2012. Andy joins Gama after nearly 40 years in various aerospace marketing roles at blue chip companies, including British Airways and Boeing.

THE DUBAI AIRSHOW CLOSES WITH ORDERS OF US$63 BILLION - 22nd Nov 2011
The 2011 Dubai Airshow ended on 17th November after a successful week which saw US$63.3 billion worth of order announcements for aircraft, maintenance services and flight training programmes. Visitor numbers broke the Dubai Airshow record with 56,548 people attending.
